Yin Yoga
Yin yoga explores the art of stillness and offers an opportunity to slow down the body to steady the mind. It is a wonderful complement and balance to a more dynamic yoga asana practice and busy lifestyle.
In a Yin yoga class, floor based poses are held with the support of props for a longer period of time to encourage deep myofascial release, and to facilitate an embodied meditative experience.
Restorative Yoga
This practice facilitates deep rest and calms the nervous system. Gentle movement, breath work and longer held positions are designed to gently open and relax, releasing tension in body and mind. Props are used to create ease and comfort in each position, encouraging surrender and letting go.
